Cold Water, Main is the city were the story started. Nora Grey´s life is been tough lately since her father died and her mother is never home, so the only one she spend time with is her best friend Vee. This is until she met her new lab parter Patch Cipriano. Nora acts like she hates him, but for an unknown reason for her she actually loves him but when her best friend ask her she still says she hates him.
MAny weird things happen to Nora and she does not know the reason or who is the one behind all those things. Some of which are a man in black running to her car and crashing and then it seemed like it did not happened. Also, thinking she felt from a roller coaster when she was with Patch but actually she didn´t and seem like she just imagine it. And things she remember to be there disappearing are some of the things.
After spending more time with Patch she fells more attached to him, and changed his opinion about him. Meanwhile she start feeling nervous about Elliot, a boy she and Vee met later and his best friend Jules. She discovered he might be involve in a murder in his last school and wants to warn Vee about it.
Weird things keep happening to her and she freaks out the most after an old woman is killed thinking it was her since she was wearing her coat. She is afraid for Vee since she went to play hide and seek with Elliot and Jules at school and she is not taking her calls. She was so scared she calls Patch for a ride, but his Jeeps breaks down and they are forced to go into a motel since it started raining. In the motel, she sees an upside down V in Patch´s back. She touches his scar and then is pulled into his memories of his past memories to do with her. This leaves Patch to reveal his identity as a fallen angel, and he actually was trying to kill Nora to get a human body. The plan failed after he felt in love with her.

Nora finally realized her friend Jules is actually Chauncey, a boy Patch used to posses his body once a year. She is afraid since she knows Vee is with them so she goes looking for her in their school. There is a lot of fighting and Nora dies, but is saved by Patch making him her guardian angel.

I think this is a great book because it makes you question many things, and leave many things unknown. I also like that even tough there is a lot of science fiction, there is also romance, and the ending was as perfect as I imagine it. I already bought the next book that is called Cresendo since I heard it is as good as this one. I am really looking forward to reading it.
I think any teenage girl would like this because most of them like complicated romance, and this definitely counts as one for me. In general, a really good book I am glad I read.

How does the book compare to other books you´ve read? Would it make a good movie? Why or why not? Or if the book already is a movie, what would you change in the movie to make it better or to stay true to the story.
Hush hush is now one of my favorite books so far. I love reading and the ones I read the most are romance books. This is romance also, but also sic-fi which I also like so both together was a perfect combination for me. I think this would make a great movie since many people enjoy love stories that include sic-fi, for example Twilight, that is also romance and sic-fi and it was really successful. There are rumors that says there is going to be a movie, but it is not sure yet. I hope they do make it and I would gladly watch it

What symbolen down the author use? What do they seem to represent?
I don´t think there is that mucho symbolism in this book. The only one I could find was the roller coaster named the Archangel. It is old and made of wood, so it is not that safe as the ones you can see now a days. The car Nora and Patch rode had images like paintings of demons and angels. I think this drawings represent the part of Patch´s life

Can you state the theme in a sentence and then explain why you think that is the theme?
I think the answer for this question could change depending on the point of view of the person that read it. In my opinion it is about forbidden love of a fallen angel an a normal human in this case the fallen angel being Patch and  the normal human being Nora. She feels attracted b to Patch, but at the same time she fells he is trouble. When she finds out Patch is a falling angel she needs to decide weather she should or should´t be with him. Patch in the other hand, need to kill or save a human(Nora) to be an angel again. Killing is a lot easier, but he loves Nora now and would never harm her. He decides to stay a fallen angel to stay with her. But when Nora dies and Patch ¨brings her back¨he  he becomes her guardian angel. So now, they can be together forever.

How would the work be different if it were set in another time or place?
Since Nora is still in high school many of the events happen here. This is actually the place where she sees Patch for the first time. Also it is the place where she almost died because of Jules, but was save by Patch. Also many time is passed in the arcade where Patch passes a lot of time playing or betting for things. I thing even though this are the main settings of the book they could change them and it will make a difference, but not that big of a difference since what is the most important is what happens but not where. The only thing that could be important is that if Patch and Nora hand´t met at school maybe they would not see each other that often because they were lab parters so for projects and school stuff was a good reason of seeing each other.

Who are the principal characters? describe them
Do the characters stay the same, or do they change? why? how can you tell?

The main characters are: Nora Grey, a normal high school student. Vee, Nora´s best friend. Patch, a fallen angel who wants to become human and would do anything for Nora. Elliot, a guy Vee and Nora met and is presumably responsible for killing a girl in her last school. Jules, Elliot´s best friend who's seems quiet, but is later discovered to be really dangerous. Debria/ miss. Greene, the school psychologist, who is also in love with Patch, which means she would do everything to destroy Nora.
The characters that change the most are Jules, who is later discover to hate Patch for possessing his body every year only that Patch knew him as Chauncey. Elliot that seemed really friendly, but was only working for Jules to get closer to Nora. And Debria, who Nora fought was the new school psychologist but was only there to keep Nora away from Patch and stay with Patch

How does the narrator´s point of view affect the work?
The book is written as if Nora, the main character, wrote it. This means everything in the book is explained in the way she saw it or lived it. I think this leave the reader many questions since she does´t know how the other characters feel, or what they do every moment. But, at some point she always realizes or someone thell her the important things or how they feel, so I think having her as the narrator is a good idea because you can identify more with that character instead of having a narrator that knows the story. Because when the main character is the one who writes it you can feel like you are her or him and  in the case of this book I at some points could understand better her feelings or acts because she describe them as in the way she felt them.

How do the events connect to each other and to the whole?
I think all the events that happen in this book since the beginning are really connected because at the beginning everything seems confusing and you don´t know why things happen. For example, the thinks Nora thought she imagine you later know almost at the end of the book that she didm´t imagine any of those things, it was actually Jules a boy she and her best friend Vee knew and thought was a nice guy. It turns out he made Nora suffer with those things, like imaging crashing into someone and then seeing the car intact because he knew Patch would never feel pain, but Nora could and since Patch loves Nora so he did it because that was the only way of making Patch feel awful.
Also at Nora and Patch appear to first meet at the school when Patch is Nora´s lab parter, but you later see that Patch already knew Nora and he loved her. That was the reason Patch entered to that school and made Nora be his lab parter.
This are the main reasons why I think the events in the book are connected, but there are many more. This is because everything that happens is later on explained in the book.

The book I choose for my English project is Hush, hush by Rebecca Fitzpatrick. I actually didn´t know what book to read so what I did was research on a page called goodreads about good books for teens and this one was on the list. I read the review and I liked it. Also I have heard many of my friends saying it is a really good book, so I decided to read it. I read the review and it is about a girl named Nora, she get Patch ( a guy in his school) as his lab partner and he drives her crazy. He is very mysterious and she has many unanswered questions about him. She must decide wether he is or not the right for her. I have read fictional romance books before and I like them, so hopefully I would like this one too.
